Talk: Two Sides of AI — Opportunities and Risks in Focus
On March 24, 2026, I gave a talk titled “Emotion, Krankheit, Identität – Wieviel verrät Dein Gesicht der KI?” (Emotion, Disease, Identity — How Much Does Your Face Reveal to AI?) at the event “Zwei Seiten der KI – Chancen und Risiken im Fokus” (Two Sides of AI — Opportunities and Risks in Focus), hosted by the Thüringer Medienbildungszentrum der TLM (TMBZ).
The talk examined how AI systems infer emotions, medical conditions, and identity from the human face, drawing on our research in multi-modal facial analysis, and discussed the opportunities and risks that come with such technology.
